Four-star running back John Randle Jr. was one of the many top prospects visiting Texas on Saturday.
Shortly after the visit concluded, Randle announced via Twitter that he received an offer from the University of Texas. His father, John Randle Sr., was a former Kansas running back from 2003-04 and expressed that Texas running backs coach Tashard Choice made the family feel at home throughout their visit.
Randle is rated the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Kansas for the 2023 recruiting class. The talented running back also runs track for Heights High School (Wichita, KS) and has received offers from numerous Power Five programs across the country.
Texas is heavily in pursuit of five-star running back Rueben Owens for the 2023 cycle, but considering the Longhorns would prefer to take two in the class, Randle would be an exceptional compliment to Owens.
