Steve Sarkisian’s coaching staff is dipping into the NCAA transfer portal again.
On Tuesday, Illinois State transfer John Ridgeway announced via Twitter that he had received an offer from the University of Texas. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound defensive tackle totaled 22 tackles, three tackles for loss and an interception in four games last season.
In 2019, Ridgeway started 15 games and compiled 50 tackles and three tackles for loss. He will have two years of eligibility remaining and would certainly provide a big body up the middle for Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis.

In the 2017 recruiting class, 247Sports listed Ridgeway as a two-star offensive tackle.
