Five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley is one of the most coveted players in the 2024 recruiting class.
McKinley is rated the No. 1 overall recruit in Louisiana and the No. 7 defensive lineman in the nation, according to 247Sports. Fortunately for Texas, they’re one of three schools that McKinley appears to be focusing on at this time.
On3’s Sam Spiegelman recently stated that McKinley is moving closer to a decision and is likely to announce before his senior season of high school. “The elite defensive lineman is high on three teams at this stage in his recruitment: LSU, Oklahoma and Texas,” Spiegelman noted.
LSU appears to be in the lead for McKinley according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine, but with Tigers defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey stepping away for health reasons, it may open a new door for Bo Davis and Texas to make a strong push over the next several weeks.
