Texas Class of 2026 commit Dia Bell carted off in leg injury.

Texas Longhorns’ five star commitment from the Class of 2026 was carted off the field early Friday night during his high school team’s 4A playoff matchup against Dillard. Bell, who is the top prospect in his home state of Florida, was carted off after being dragged down early in the second half.

According to High School Sports on SI, Bell completed a pass inside the 10 yard line and then carried the ball on the following play for a quarterback draw. As he came upon the five-yard line he was pulled down from behind, he was quick to get up but could not put any weight on his right leg.

He attempted to head to the sideline but the pain subsided. He was attended to by athletic trainers, attended to for many minutes and then carted off and removed from the field of play.

Bell is ranked as the No. 6 overall player in the nation and the No. 2 quarterback, he is the No. 1 player in the state of Florida according to On3.

The severity of Dia’s injury is not known at this time. This article will be updated as information becomes available.
