This one remained close all game and a plethora of Longhorns players landed more than one hit, highlighted by Ivan Melendez going three for five and Zach Zubia going two for five with two RBI’s.
The deciding run didn’t come until the 8th inning when Mike Antico hit a deep home run to right field for what would give Texas the game one win.

Tanner Witt (3-0) got the win, pitching only 2.0 innings, giving up three hits with three strikeouts. Ty Madden saw most of the action pitching 6.0 innings with five strikeouts, while giving up three runs on five hits.
