Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class is now ranked in the Top 10 after the commitment of 5-star WR, Cam Coleman

Coming off their recent recruiting haul, the Aggies 2024 has cracked the Top 10 in 247Sports’ newest 2024 team rankings.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class, one of the hottest cycles since the last week of June, started July off with a bang after landing four-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby on Saturday; the Aggies’ unstoppable momentum ride continued on Tuesday, which happened to be the Fourth of July, as five-star wide receiver Cameron Coleman, currently positioned as the No.3-ranked WR in the 2024 cycle, shocked the entire college football world by committing to the Maroon and White.

Ah yes, every naysayer and Texas fan who has dedicated too much of their time hoping for a Texas A&M recruiting downfall, sorry? Aggies wide receiver coach Dameyune Craig, who deserves a ton of credit for landing all four WR prospects in the cycle, isn’t finished yet as five-star athlete/wide receiver Terry Bussey, who recently placed the Aggies in his Top 5 program list, looked to be very intrigued after Coleman’s exciting commitment.

Let’s call it the “Coleman effect” for now, as Texas A&M has now broken into the Top 10 in 247Sports’ updated 2024 team rankings; the Aggies soared to No. 9 in both the Overall and Composite rankings from 13th just three days ago. To recap, here are the prospects Texas A&M has landed since Thursday, June 22:

  • Thursday, June 22: Four-star tight end Eric Karner, Four-star linebacker Jordan Lockhart.
  • Friday, June 23: Three-star offensive lineman Coen Echols.
  • Monday, June 26: Four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis.
  • Tuesday, June 27: Three-star edge Gabriel Reliford
  • Thursday, June 29: Four-star wide receiver Drelon Miller
  • Friday, June 30: Four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith
  • Saturday, July 1: Four-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby
  • Tuesday, July 4: Five-star wide receiver Cameron Coleman

With 16 total commits in the cycle, Jimbo Fisher and his staff focus are now focused on a Top 5 finish, and at this point, anything is possible after Tuesday’s results. Gig ’em, and BTHO 2024 recruiting cycle.
