The Longhorns continue to trend as the favorite for one of the top pass rushers in the country.
Four-star edge Derion Gullette announced the top three schools left in his recruitment on Thursday. The Marlin native is rated the No. 8 edge prospect in the nation for the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Texas, according to On3.
Texas A&M and Ohio State also made the cut. As a junior in 2021, Gullette recorded 125 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles and two interceptions.
I want to thank all the coaches that have been recruiting throughout this process and that has believed in me and my talents! But with that being said, these are the schools that I’m focusing on! pic.twitter.com/I7cXrJzliJ

Both On3 and 247Sports heavily favor the Longhorns in his recruitment, with the Aggies a distant second.
