Texas A&M will host the No. 1-ranked prospect in the 2026 recruiting class this spring

Texas A&M and 2026 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell are in talks regarding a potential visit this spring

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is poised to attract some of the top athletes this cycle, including the nation’s No. 1-ranked prospect as well as the leading offensive line recruit.

According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell is contemplating Texas A&M as a possible destination. The rising senior is particularly impressed with coach Mike Elko and his team, notably offensive line coach Adam Cushing.

This week, Cantwell and a long list of 2026 prospects are participating in the annual Under Armour All-American game practices, and according to 247Sports national recruiting coordinator Anna Adams, Texas A&M, and Cantwell are looking to set up a spring visit, most likely during the spring football season.

Standing at 6-7.5 and 300 pounds, Cantwell is the starting left tackle at Nixa HS in Nixa, Missouri, and has been a varsity starter since his 2022 freshman season. Cantwell’s brute strength, elite footwork, and bulldozing run blocking make him a can’t-miss prospect with immediate starting ability as soon as he steps on campus.

According to Tom Loy, Ohio State, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, and Nebraska are potential front runners as his recruitment heats up.

According to 247Sports Composite, Jackson Cantwell is currently the No. 1-ranked recruit, offensive lineman, and prospect out of Missouri.
