Texas A&M isn’t just known for its storied history on the playing field. The home of the Aggies has been commended as one of the best colleges to attend in the United States.
U.S. News and World Report released its annual rankings this week, which saw Texas A&M jump up 20 spots to No. 47 in the nation. Texas A&M also was named the No. 20 Best Public University in the latest rankings, moving up six places from 2022. Nationally, three of A&M’s programs are in the Top 10, and 12 programs are in the Top 20.
Texas A&M’s undergraduate engineering program also received some much-warranted praise, having retained its seventh position among public engineering schools while securing the No. 13 spot overall.

- Electrical No. 15 (No. 9 public)
- Industrial No. 11 (No. 8 public, No. 1 in Texas)
- Materials Science No. 20 (No. 13 public, No. 1 in Texas)
- Mechanical No. 11 (No. 6 public, No. 1 in Texas)
- Petroleum No. 1
