Texas A&M ranks No. 23 in the latest 2023 US LBM Coaches Poll update

After their 52-10 victory over New Mexico, Texas A&M moved up two spots to No. 23 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll following Week 1.

The dust has officially settled on Week 1 of the 2023 college football season, which means it’s time to see how what the coaches observed following the first slate of action.

The US LBM Coaches poll is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of 63 head coaches at Football Bowl Subdivision schools. Each coach submits a Top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place 24, and so on, down to one point for 25th.

The top four remain unchanged after Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, and Ohio State all took care of business in their season openers. Fresh off a 45-24 blowout victory over LSU, Florida State catapulted to No. 5 in the coaches poll. The Tigers, meanwhile, dropped to No. 14.

After Texas A&M took care of business in a 52-10 romp over New Mexico, they jumped up two spots to No. 23 in the latest coaches poll. Next on their slate is a matchup with Miami on Saturday, with the Hurricanes receiving 22 votes in the poll as of Sep. 5.
