Texas A&M is interested in Georgia State transfer guard Collin Moore

Texas A&M has reached out to former Georgia State guard Collin Moore, who averaged 14 points per game during his sophomore season

Texas A&M and head coach Buzz Williams have only added one player through the transfer portal so far this season, but man was it a big one after former Illinois-Chicago guard Jace Carter officially signed with the program on Tuesday, bolstering their backcourt behind All-SEC guard Wade Taylor IV.

Well, it seems that Williams and his staff aren’t finished looking for talent through the portal, and though the focus should probably be geared towards replacing the production of the departing Dexter Dennis’s defensive prowess as a wing defender, adding even more offense and depth to the backcourt isn’t a bad idea while looking toward the future.

Earlier this week, former Georgia State guard Collin Moore, who during his 2022 sophomore season, averaged 14.2 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and 1 assist, at 6-4 and 205 pounds, Moore has the size and scoring ability to at least add a layer back to what will be missed from Dennis’s play last season. One of the most intriguing aspects of his stat line last season is his 3-point percentage, shooting 48% (20-52) from beyond the arc.
