Texas A&M is back in the rankings in the newest AP Top 25 poll

Texas A&M’s has made it back into the AP top 25 rankings

Texas A&M (2-1, 1-0 SEC) defeated the Florida Gators (1-2, 0-1 SEC) on the road on Saturday afternoon, ending the Aggies’ 10-game SEC road losing streak, while earning head coach Mike Elko his first conference win of the season.

Making his first career start due to starting quarterback Conner Weigman’s shoulder injury, redshirt freshman signal caller Marcel Reed was lights out from start to finish inside a raucous environment, throwing for 117 yards and two touchdowns while producing 84 rushing yards and a score.

While a quarterback controversy could be upon us this week, the rest of the college football slate saw several teams have statement wins, as the newest AP Top 25 poll revealed a new No. 1-ranked team.

After defeating UTSA 56-7, the Texas Longhorns, who remain a perfect 3-0 on the year, have jumped over Georgia after Kentucky nearly upset the Bulldogs in a close 13-12 loss.

For Texas A&M, the Aggies moved up to No. 25 after being left out of the rankings last week.

All in all, the SEC has once again dominated the Top 10 rankings, as six conference teams head into week 4 with plenty of momentum.

Texas A&M will host Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 21. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
