Aggies interim head coach Elijah Robinson bid adieu to the 12th Man on Friday afternoon with a post on X.

“Dear Aggieland,

“Thank you for embracing my family and I. We are forever grateful for the impact you have made on our lives.

“I want to thank coach Fisher for welcoming me into the Aggie family. I would also like to thank R.C. Slocum for his consistent belief and guidance.

“I am appreciative of the Board of Regents, AD Ross Bjork and President Welsh for allowing me to have a role in such a wonderful place, with wonderful people.

“To all of the players and staff over my time here, thank you for making every day special.

“Thank you, Aggieland!

“Elijah Robinson”

Robinson is departing College Station to become defensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Syracuse. Following the dismissal of Jimbo Fisher, he led Texas A&M to a 1-2 overall record during his short tenure at the helm.

Coach E. Rob isn’t leaving alone as two former Aggies will be joining him in New York. Robinson hired Texas A&M staffer Joe Schaefer as a defensive assistant coach on Dec. 14. Junior defensive lineman Fadil Diggs committed to the Orange in the NCAA Transfer Portal on Dec. 19.
