One of the best parts of recruiting for any sport is the legacy aspect, especially concerning Texas A&M. Throughout the decades, several former A&M athletes have experienced the joy of watching their sons or daughters don the Maroon and White and carry on the Aggie legacy.
On Saturday, head coach Jimbo Fisher officially fielded an offer to current Aggie baseball commit Terrence Kiel Jr., son of former Texas A&M safety (199-2002) Terrence Kiel, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2008 after three NFL seasons with the then San Diego Chargers.
As a duel athlete, currently more known for his skills on the diamond, he committed to Jim Schlossnagle in August of last year as a shortstop and outfielder. Still, at 5-11 and 170 pounds, Kiel Jr. is also a two-way athlete on the gridiron, excelling at wide receiver and cornerback at Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.

Recruited by Aggies defensive backs coach TJ Rushing for 2022 junior season, Kiel Jr. recorded over 1,600 total yards on offense, seven pass breakups, and one interception on defense, with the ability to excel at either position due to his size, speed, and versatility as an athlete.
