Before the Texas A&M baseball team swept McNeese State and outscored the Cowboys 31-1 this past weekend, a duo of Aggies outfielders received a final preseason accolade.
On Friday afternoon, junior Braden Montgomery and sophomore Jace LaViolette were named to the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award Watch List.
One final preseason honor for this duo! 👍

The Bragan Award is given annually to the player with the best performances, grades and integrity. The BBNCSA recipient will be announced in June and honored at a gala in the fall.
Both Texas A&M outfielders got off to a tremendous start to the season against McNeese State. In 11 at-bats, Montgomery had 4 hits, 5 runs batted in, 2 runs scored, 1 home run and 1 walk. LaViolette tore it up against the Cowboys. In 12 ABs, he tallied 2 runs, 4 hits, 9 RBI, 3 HR and 2 walks.
Safe to say, the Aggies are in good hands with this duo hitting at the top of the lineup.
