The Texas A&M Aggies (1-1) and Florida Gators (1-1) clash Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Texas A&M vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
After a season-opening loss to Notre Dame, A&M, which sits just outside of the Top 25, took its frustrations out on McNeese State 52-10. Aggies QB Conner Weigman (undisclosed) is questionable for this one. If he can’t go, QB Marcel Reed will be under center. Weigman went 11-for-14 for 125 yards and 2 scores last week. Reed went 5-for-11 for 71 yards and rushed 7 times for 43 yards.
Florida rebounded from a beatdown against Miami with a 45-7 chomping of Samford last week. QB DJ Lagway was 18-for-25 for 456 yards and 3 scores through the air. RB Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed 15 times for 67 yards and 2 scores in the game. The victory snapped a 6-game losing streak, dating back to last season.

Texas A&M at Florida picks and predictions
Prediction
Florida 24, Texas A&M 21
Moneyline
A lot hinges on Weigman’s ability to suit up, as Reed has just 47 career passes and not a lot to show for it. Lagway was the No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, and he can beat you with his arm and his legs. QB Graham Mertz will also see some action for Florida, which could give A&M problems in preparation.
Add in this game is at The Swamp, and I’m taking the upset. Take FLORIDA +145.
Against the spread
We’re taking the value on the ML, so there’s little reason to take the spread. Instead, we’re taking MONTRELL JOHNSON JR. ANYTIME TOUCHDOWN (+100). He had 2 scores last week and another in the first game. Even odds? Sign me up!
Over/Under
I’m not as confident on this take here, but with the uncertainty at QB for A&M, I feel like it’s going to try to run the ball early on until Florida stacks the box. Things should open up in the 2nd half, but it’ll be too late to hit the Over by then. LEAN UNDER 46.5 (-110).
