Five-star cornerback Kobe Black is nearing a college decision.
Black set a commitment date for Wednesday, Nov. 29. He is rated the No. 3 cornerback in the country for the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 10 overall recruit in the state of Texas, according to On3.
Texas has steadily remained the favorite in his recruitment over the last few months. An updated recruiting prediction was entered in favor of the Longhorns to land Black over the weekend, shortly after his commitment date was announced.
Steve Sarkisian’s 2024 recruiting class consists of 20 commits at this time and is rated No. 9 in the nation. Adding Black to the class will likely catapult the Longhorns into the top five and he would become the fourth five-star recruit in the group.
