Texans WR Nico Collins hits 1k receiving yards before exiting with injury

Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins set a career-mark in Week 14 but also picked up a calf injury.

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins set a career mark in Week 14 against the New York Jets after he caught his 1,000th receiving yard in the first quarter.

Ridley caught a pass from C.J. Stroud and took it 13 yards to push his season numbers to 1,004 yards on 60 receptions.

Sadly, Collins left the game soon after with a calf injury and was deemed questionable to return by the team at halftime. He was later ruled out in the third quarter.

The Texans need Collins back or risk rolling out a depleted receiving core. Collins is Stroud’s top target now after Tank Dell suffered a season-ending leg injury in Week 13. He’s also been one of the best big-play receivers this season.

But without Collins, Dell and tight end Dalton Schultz, the Texans will have only a few options on offense.
