Texans waive former Bucs WR Tyler Johnson

The Houston Texans have waived former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tyler Johnson

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tyler Johnson is back out on the waiver wire.

Johnson was waived by the Houston Texans on Tuesday, leaving him looking for the third NFL team of his young career.

A fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Minnesota, Johnson showed flashes of potential over his first two seasons in Tampa Bay, but didn’t make it through final roster cuts this season.

Despite spending the first seven weeks of the season with Houston, Johnson only dressed for two games, and didn’t see a single target.

Johnson will now go through waivers, and will be a free agent if no team claims him.
