Fourth quarter

2:19 — On a third-and-9 from the Houston 27-yard line, Roethlisberger throws a quick out to Claypool, who scampers to the 2-yard line. Murray manages to knock the football out, and it goes out of bounds. Murray never had a chance to recover it.

3:11 — On a fourth-and-1 from the Texans’ 35-yard line, Roethlisberger hits Washington for a 7-yard gain on a slant.

5:37 — Watson hits WR Kenny Stills for 16 yards on a third-and-26 from Houston’s own 9-yard line. Three-and-out.

6:24 — T.J. Watt rushes and drops Watson for an 11-yard loss.

6:24 — Conner rushes for a 12-yard touchdown. The Steelers go for two, and Roethlisberger hits Smith-Schuster on a slant. Steelers, 28-21

7:56 — On a third-and-2 from the Houston 30-yard line, Roethlisberger hits tight end Vance McDonald for a 14-yard gain.

12:00 — On a third-and-5 from the Pittsburgh 26-yard line, Roethlisberger hits Ebron for a 14-yard gain.

13:38 — On a third-and-15 from the Pittsburgh 43-yard line, Watson scrambles around, directs traffic, an slings an interception, picked off by CB Mike Hilton. Watson took a shot from OLB T.J. Watt and was slow to get up.

14:57 — On a third-and-10 from their own 28-yard line, Watson hits Cobb for a 34-yard gain.

Third quarter

2:16 — On a third-and-8 from the Steelers’ 45-yard line, Claypool can’t come up with the circus catch in traffic. Three-and-out.

4:16 — The Texans go three-and-out again. On third-and-4, DE Stephon Tuitt dropped Watson.

6:18 — On a third-and-16 from the Pittsburgh 31, WR James Washington catches a pass for just 15 yards. Three-and-out.

7:38 — DE Carlos Watkins is able to rush inside and sack Roethlisberger for a 9-yard loss on first down.

8:38 — The Texans go three-and-out. Not what they needed after the Steelers had a drive that nearly took half of the third quarter.

9:57 — Boswell hits a 26-yard field goal. Texans, 21-20

10:37 — On a third-and-goal from the Texans’ 15-yard line, Roethlisberger dumps it off for Conner for a 7-yard gain.

10:48 — Steelers OT Alejandro Villanueva is ineligible downfield. 5-yard penalty.

11:06 — The Steelers go for it on fourth-and-inches, and Roethlisberger heaves it deep for WR Chase Claypool, headed for the goal line. CB Bradley Roby has single coverage and commits pass interference at the 10-yard line.

11:11 — On third-and-3 from the Houston 41, Roethlisberger scrambles for what appears to be a 2-yard gain. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin challenged the spot. Ruling on the field stands.

12:26 — Conner rushed for two yards on fourth-and-inches from the 50-yardl line.

1:14 — Roethlisberger hits Smith-Schuster for a 26-yard touchdown. Extra point is good. Steelers, 17-14

3:37 — Watson throws to FB Cullen Gillaspia for a 6-yard gain on third-and-12 from Houston’s 14-yard line. Three-and-out.

5:05 — TE Eric Ebron does what he does best against the Texans, and that is catch red zone touchdown passes. S A.J. Moore was guarding Ebron. Extra point is good. Texans, 14-10

7:20 — Cunningham returns to the game.

9:49 — ILB Zach Cunningham is questionable to return with a leg injury.

11:32 — RB David Johnson rushes for a 2-yard touchdown. Extra point is good. Texans, 14-3

First quarter

0:38 — Texans WR Will Fuller returns the punt one yard to the Houston 46-yard line.

0:44 — Roethlisberger heaves it deep incomplete on third-and-7 from their own 8-yard line.

2:21 — The Texans can’t take advantage of the momentum, and go three-and-out. Watson took a sack on the series.

4:37 — Fact: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger gets sacked for a 10-yard loss on third-and-5 from their own 28-yard line. What’s disputable: official scorers have DE Charles Omenihu with the sack, but OLB Whitney Mercilus and DE J.J. Watt also arrived about the same time. It could be a half-sack upon further review. Another fact: it’s Texans’ ball after the punt.

6:11 — The Texans may have woken up for 2020. Watson hits WR Randall Cobb for a 28-yard touchdown. Extra point is good. Texans, 7-3

7:46 — On third-and-3 from Houston’s 33, Watson hits WR Brandin Cooks for a 20-yard gain.

8:55 — K Chris Boswell hits a 33-yard field goal. Steelers, 3-0

9:38 — ILB Benardrick McKinney comes up with a big stop as he stuff RB Jalen Samuels on third-and-1 from the Texans’ 16.

11:47 — On third-and-3 from the Texans’ 47-yard line, Murray commits pass interference.

13:58 — On third-and-10 from the Steelers’ 22, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster picks up 11 yards. S Eric Murray hit Smith-Schuster three yards short of the line to gain, but the receiver bounced off and lunged backward to pick up the first down.

14:21 — QB Deshaun Watson fails to connect with TE Jordan Akins on third-and-5 from the Houston 30-yard line. Three-and-out.

The Houston Texans take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, looking for their first win of the season on the natural grass of Heinz Field.

The Texans’ inactives include ILB Peter Kalambayi (hamstring), Duke Johnson (ankle), OLB Jonathan Greenard (hamstring), rookie OT Charlie Heck, CB Cornell Armstrong, and rookie DT Ross Blacklock.

For the Steelers, their inactives are QB Josh Dobbs, ILB Ulysses Gilbert, OL Derin Gray, DL Carlos Davis, and TE Zach Gentry.
