Rookie quarterback Davis Mills replaced Houston Texans starter Tyrod Taylor in the third quarter of Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Colts 7th drive (9 plays, 75 yards, 5:13) — The Indianapolis offense had no trouble carving up the Texans defense. The Colts didn’t face a single third down as RB Jonathan Taylor capped off the drive with a 3-yard touchdown. Colts, 21-0

Texans 7th drive (4 plays, 18 yards, 1:49) — RB Royce Freeman gets a nice 11-yard gain on the first play of the drive. However, the Texans’ drive stalls thereafter. QB Tyrod Taylor was holding his left wrist after being knocked around on a second-and-5 pass to TE Pharaoh Brown for three yards.

Colts 8th drive (5 plays, 31 yards, 4:08) — The Houston defense manages to stuff the Colts on a third-and-7 from the Houston 48-yard line. LB Kamu Grugier-Hill got in for the sack.

Texans 8th drive () — QB Davis Mills replaces Taylor. The offense appears to come alive and picks up a first down within the first two plays with Mills under center. The drive is reminiscent of Houston’s penultimate drive in the second quarter, which went for nine plays but was ultimately stalled with an illegal formation penalty. WR Brandin Cooks even gets the ball on a double reverse, which goes for 16 yards. The drive will have to continue into the fourth quarter.
