Texans-Browns first quarter recap

Texans 2nd drive continued (6 plays, 29 yards, 3:19) — The Texans weren’t able to get into field goal range and elected to punt it on a fourth-and-1 from Cleveland’s 49. Houston sent P Cam Johnston out there for the punt, but it rolled into the end zone.

Browns 4th drive (8 plays, 35 yards, 4:10) — S Justin Reid picked off QB Baker Mayfield and returned it up to the Cleveland 47-yard line.

Texans 3rd drive (6 plays, 47 yards, 2:38) — QB Tyrod Taylor rushed for a 16-yard touchdown to put Houston ahead. Texans, 14-7

Browns 5th drive (10 plays, 75 yards, 5:52) — The Browns actually had a drive that many were expecting earlier in the game. Cleveland leaned on RB Kareem Hunt and RB Nick Chubb as they moved the ball down the field. Mayfield scampered for a 5-yard score to tie the game. 14-14

Texans 4th drive () — After the first play, LT Laremy Tunsil tweaked his ankle and needed help from the trainers walking off the field. A holding penalty two plays later backed Houston up to their own 20-yard line. Houston then went into a kill-clock mode to get to halftime.
