Texans TE Brevin Jordan to QB C.J. Stroud: ‘Bro, you are nice’

Houston Texans tight end Brevin Jordan had a season-high performance in Week 13.

Houston Texans tight end Brevin Jordan has caught passes from a couple of quarterbacks in his first two years in the NFL before 2023. But Jordan was so amazed by some C.J. Stroud’s passes in Week 13 that he went up to tell the rookie himself.

Jordan had his best game of the season in Week 13 starting in place of the injured Dalton Schultz. Jordan caught three passes on four targets for 64 yards, including a nice 27-yard reception in the first quarter.

Jordan’s words of affirmation aren’t unique. The NFL world has showered Stroud with praises this season – especially after a 22-17 win over the Denver Broncos that has the Texans in the hunt for a wildcard berth. Stroud leads the NFL with 3,540 total passing yards and 295 average passing yards per game. He’s also tied for the eighth in the league with 20 passing touchdowns.

Schultz could return in Week 14, but the Texans and Stroud might still need Jordan in the offense after wideout Tank Dell suffered a potentially season-ending injury early in the first quarter. Jordan was a fifth-round pick by Houston in 2020 out of Miami (Fla.).
