Texans sign former Titans WR Adam Humphries

Former Titans WR Adam Humphries has signed with the Texans.

Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Adam Humphries had a rather tumultuous tenure in Nashville.

Humphries was signed to a $36 million contract in 2019 with the intention of him being an integral piece of an offense that was on the verge of a massive breakout.

Instead, his time in Tennessee was filled with unfortunate injuries that largely made him more of an afterthought within the offense as opposed to the featured weapon he was expected to be.

The Clemson product was eventually let go just two years into his four-year deal.

Since then, Humphries played for the Washington Commanders in 2021 but didn’t play a snap during the 2022 season despite workouts with the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants.

However, on Sunday afternoon, it was announced that Humphries was finally getting another chance to be on an NFL roster, signing with the Houston Texans.

Should Humphries find a way to make Houston’s 53-man roster, he’ll have the opportunity to face his former team on two separate occasions when the Titans and Texans meet in Week 15 and Week 17 of the 2023 campaign.
