Texans reportedly sign former Bears, Packers and Jets S Adrian Amos

The Houston Texans added depth to their secondary with the reported addition of Adrian Amos.

The Houston Texans reportedly added some secondary depth by signing safety Adrian Amos, according to Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz.

Amos, 30, most recently played 11 games for the New York Jets but was waived this past week in an amicable split. He played in just 34 percent of the Jets’ 11 games before he became a free agent and tallied 23 combined tackles and one defended pass.

Before the Jets, Amos played considerable snaps for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. He started 122 games from 2015-2022 where he recorded 636 combined tackles, 10 interceptions, 49 defended passes and six sacks.

Amos serves two purposes for Houston: He’ll be a veteran role player for the defense and can give the team insight into the Jets – who the Texans play in Week 14.
