Texans OT Laremy Tunsil named to second consecutive Pro Bowl; 6 named alternates

Houston Texans offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil earned his fourth career Pro Bowl selection this year.

The Houston Texans will send a minimum of one player to the Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, Florida, on Feb. 4.

Offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil was named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl this season as the only representative of the Texans. It’s also his fourth career Pro Bowl selection.

Tunsil remains one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL. He has a 91% pass rush win rate this season, according to ESPN, which ranks 15th among all tackles in the league. Tunsil is a huge part of a Texans offensive line that’s kept C.J. Stroud upright all season long.

Six other Texans were named as alternates for the Pro Bowl and could be called up to play in the games if the starters opt out, either because they’re injured or playing in the Super Bowl.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud, wide receiver Nico Collins, pass rusher Will Anderson Jr., cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., fullback Andrew Beck and pass rusher Jonathan Greenard were all named alternates.

Instead of a regular 11-on-11 game, the Pro Bowl Games will be a series of events from dodgeball to flag football.
