Texans HC DeMeco Ryans calls Steelers ‘a model for all NFL teams’

The respect that DeMeco Ryans has for Mike Tomlin and the Steelers is obvious.

New Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans appears well on his way to being a great head coach. It’s clear he’s building something in Houston in his first tenure as a head coach. After an impressive NFL career as well as six seasons as a coordinator, Ryans looks to have all the makings of one of the next great NFL head coaches.

This week Ryans welcomes the Pittsburgh Steelers to town and Ryans made it clear just how much respect he has for the team as well as head coach Mike Tomlin.

When speaking about Tomlin, Ryans had this to say. “He’s the epitome of what I want to be like,” Ryans said.

The Texans currently sit at 1-2 and are coming off a huge win over the New Orleans Saints. They also have the top offensive rookie in the league with now in quarterback CJ Stroud. Stroud is currently fifth in the NFL in passing yards with 906.
