After playing sparingly this season, Los Angeles Clippers rookie Terance Mann recorded a career-high 14 points on Sunday during a 129-120 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Mann shot 6-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, while he also added three rebounds in 23 minutes off of the bench. Mann was called upon with Paul George (rest) and Patrick Beverley (calf strain) out of the lineup.

The performance by Mann was highlighted by the fact that he played most of the fourth quarter, recording eight of his 14 points in the period, and played ahead of Lou Williams and Reggie Jackson, who suffered an ankle injury.

The loss by the Clippers was a rather surprising result considering Kawhi Leonard scored a team-high 39 points and the Nets are using several replacement players during the season restart. However, Mann took advantage of his opportunity and it could bode well for his chances of cracking the rotation during the postseason.

The Clippers play next on Wednesday vs. the Denver Nuggets.
