Through the first three games, nobody on the Tennessee Titans’ roster has had a bigger swing from bad to good than kicker Stephen Gostkowski.
After missing his first three field goals in a Titans uniform in the season-opener, Gostkowski has nailed all nine of his attempts since then, including three game-winners.
In Week 3, Gostkowski easily posted his best game. Not only did he hit the game-winner once again, but he nailed all six of his field goal attempts, three of which came from 50-plus yards, and he was the reason the Titans were able to stay in the game with the offense stalling on drives.
After the game, the veteran, who we chose as our Player of the Game for Week 3, said he’s going to take some time to enjoy his epic performance.
Gostkowski: "Today I had a good day, and I'm going to enjoy it."@Titans

Gostkowski went on to explain how important it is to move on from bad showings like the one he had in Week 1.
Gostkowski: Kicking is a love-hate relationship. When it's good, really good. When it's not, it's really tough. Have to find a way to move on after misses. Part of the mental challenge of position. #TItans

Could Gostkowski’s recent success be related to his socks? Who knows, but he hasn’t put them on since the opener and it seems to be working for him.
Gostkowski now kicking without a sock: I kicked without it all summer long. I don't know why I had them on (in opener)

With nine made field goals through three games, Gostkowski already has more makes than the plethora of kickers the Titans ran out on the field in 2019 combined.
Granted, there’s a long road ahead for the Titans with 13 games left in the regular season, but for now it looks like the kicking issues that plagued the team last season have been put to bed.
