The Tennessee Titans are exploring their options at the wide receiver position after making final cuts on Tuesday, and one of the options they are exploring is wide receiver Josh Gordon.
According to NFL Network’s Taylor Bisciotti, the Titans are hosting Gordon for a visit on Wednesday. Gordon was recently released by the Kansas City Chiefs as part of their final cuts.
Tennessee was already thin at wide receiver after carrying just five on their initial 53-man roster, but their need became even more dire upon news of wideout Racey McMath’s impending placement on injured reserve.
Gordon exploded onto the scene in 2013, leading the NFL in receiving yards.
Josh Gordon, who led the NFL in receiving yards in 2013, is on his way to visit the #Titans today.

Unfortunately, it has been all downhill from there, as he’s been suspended by the league six times, including five for some form of substance abuse, per ESPN.
Since parting with the Browns, Gordon has seen time with the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Chiefs, none of which panned out. He played in 12 games for the Chiefs in 2021, tallying five receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown.
While Gordon is no doubt an intriguing option to explore, the Titans need someone who is reliable. Gordon has proven to be anything but that during his career.
