The Tennessee Titans have taken the first step to actually being able to play this week, as the team registered zero positive COVID-19 tests on Friday after Thursday’s round of testing, according to multiple reports.
Tennessee had its Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills moved to Tuesday, but one of the reported stipulations for the game to be played is that the Titans don’t get anymore positive cases, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Tennessee certainly isn’t out of the woods yet in that regard, even with Friday’s negative results.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that contact tracing has identified multiple players as high risk after coming in contact with other players who have recently tested positive. He also notes that more positives doesn’t necessarily mean the Titans-Bills game would be cancelled.

On Thursday night, John Glennon of Broadway Sports reported that the Titans are hoping to get back into their facility on Saturday if no new cases pop up.

If the Titans do return on Saturday, that would leave them with three days to prepare for Tuesday’s game. That should be enough time for at least one practice.
Whatever the case may be, the Titans are 1-for-1 against COVID-19 since their game was rescheduled, but there’s still a long road ahead before this game can take place.
