Tennessee Titans go CB, EDGE, RB in NFL.com 3-round mock draft

In his latest three-round mock draft, Chad Reuter has the Titans going CB, EDGE and RB.

Three of the biggest needs the Tennessee Titans will have to address this offseason will be at cornerback, running back, and pass-rusher.

In his latest three-round mock draft, NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has the Titans hitting each of those needs in the first two days of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Here’s how his picks go, along with the write-up for who he sees the Titans taking in the first round:

Round 1 (No. 29): A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson

“With Logan Ryan a free agent, the Titans pick up a solid corner who can fill the void if he departs.”

Round 2 (No. 61): Julian Okwara, EDGE, Notre Dame

Round 3 (No. 93): Antonio Gibson, RB, Memphis

While Reuter definitely hits the nail on the head in terms of which positions the Titans could be looking at in the first three rounds, it remains to be seen if some of these players actually go in those spots.

Terrell is a solid corner and could get drafted at the end of the first round or early in the second, so that pick fits.

Gibson, who is one of the more intriguing running backs in this class with his experience playing wide receiver, might end up being available on Day 3 of the draft. It is conceivable that Gibson’s versatility pushes him up, though.

Okwara is the wild card of the three players. He is immensely talented and versatile and could go late in the first round, but a broken fibula suffered in 2019 could lead to him falling into the second.

Even if that ends up happening with Okwara, chances are he doesn’t fall far enough for the Titans to take him at the end of the second round with the demand for quality pass-rushers being what it is.

Putting the specific players and their potential draft positioning aside for a moment, this is a good representation of what the Titans could be looking for in the first three rounds of the draft. We can also throw offensive tackle in as another potential position the Titans target in the first two days.
