Tennessee set for road match at Chattanooga

Tennessee set for road match at Chattanooga.

Tennessee will play at Chattanooga on Sunday.

Kickoff between Tennessee and the Mocs is slated for 6 p.m. EDT. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.

No. 19 Lady Vols (6-0-0) have yet to surrender a goal in 540 minutes of play this season.

Tennessee will face three former Knoxville area high school players against Chattanooga.

Sophomores AK Anderson, Mackenzie Smith and Avery Catlett will look to contribute and end the Lady Vols’ shutout streak.

Anderson played for Knoxville’s West High School. The defender was an all-state player in 2017 for the Lady Rebels.

Anderson was a three-time team defensive most valuable player and a three-time All-District 2-AAA and Region 1-AAA performer.

Smith, a forward and midfielder, played her high school soccer at Hardin Valley Academy. She was a vice captain for Chattanooga last spring, starting in all 11 of the Mocs’ matches during a COVID-19 shortened season.

With the Lady Hawks, Smith was a four-time All-District 4-AAA standout.

At Hardin Valley, she was part of two district and region championship teams.

Catlett played for Webb School of Knoxville. She helped lead Webb to a pair of Division II East Region District 1 championships.

Catlett was a three-time district MVP and a four-time all-district performer. She received all-state honors twice.

Catlett made 11 starts for the Mocs last spring.
