Tennessee loses its second conference game at LSU.

No. 18 Tennessee (10-4, 1-2 SEC) lost at No. 21 LSU (13-1, 2-1 SEC), 79-67, Saturday at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

LSU scored 23 points off 15 Tennessee turnovers.

LSU led, 42-35, at halftime. The Tigers scored 38 points in the paint and held Tennessee super senior forward John Fulkerson to three points.

“We need John to help us, if not, he needs to step aside,” Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes said of Fulkerson. “I’m telling you, we need him.”

Uros Plavsic totaled 12 points and seven rebounds for Tennessee. Olivier Nkamhoua scored nine points and totaled seven rebounds for the Vols.

Kennedy Chandler led Tennessee with 19 points.

LSU’s Tari Eason, a transfer from Cincinnati, led all scorers with 24 points and posted a double-double as he finished with 12 rebounds.
