Solomon is a former walk-on that earned a scholarship from Jeremy Pruitt after coming on as part of the 2019 class.
Known as a speedster, Solomon was a three-star recruit from South Carolina that came to Knoxville with a 40-time of 4.45 seconds. After earning his scholarship in November, Solomon appeared in 11 games, largely on special teams for the Vols.
At Socastee High School in South Carolina, Solomon finished runner-up in the 100-meter and 200-meter at the South Carolina 5A track and field meet.
