Tennessee basketball to compete in Italy

Tennessee basketball will compete in Italy during the summer.

Tennessee’s men’s basketball team will embark on a 10-day tour of Italy this summer.

The Vols will play three games during the tour, which is slated for July 31-Aug. 9. Tennessee scheduled two games against Lithuania’s U21 National Team Aug. 4-5 in Florence, Italy.

Tennessee will also play A.S. Stella Azzura, an Italian club team in Rome, Italy on Aug. 7.

In addition to competing in three games and other team activities, the trip will also include a boat tour of Lake Como, a tour of the Florence Cathedral (Duomo) and stops at the Parthenon, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum and Vatican City.
