Tennessee basketball ranked No. 1 for fifth consecutive week

Tennessee is ranked No. 1 for a fifth consecutive week in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll.

Tennessee (14-0, 1-0 SEC) opened Southeastern Conference play last week. The Vols were victorious in their SEC opener against Arkansas, 76-52, at Food City Center.

Tennessee is the only undefeated team remaining in Division I men’s basketball. The Vols are also ranked No. 1 for a fifth consecutive week in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll.

Tennessee will next play on Tuesday at Florida. Tipoff between the Vols and Gators is slated for 7 p.m. EST and will be televised by ESPN2. Tennessee will also travel to Texas on Saturday at 6 p.m. EST (ESPN or ESPN2).

Auburn, Iowa State, Duke and Alabama are ranked in the top five, respectively, following Tennessee.
