It was a record-setting day for Wisconsin TE Jake Ferguson in the Badgers’ 24-0 win at Illinois.
While Ferguson’s stat line didn’t jump off the page, he only needed one reception to set an all-time Wisconsin mark. Ferguson finished with just one catch for 13 yards, but in the process caught a pass for the 39th straight game. With the catch, the Badger TE passed former Wisconsin WR Lee Evans for the most consecutive games with at least one reception in Badger history. Evans played for Wisconsin from 2000-04 before being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 2004 NFL draft.
Ferguson has a chance to add to the record when Wisconsin faces Army next week.
