TCU has earned a few wins over Oklahoma, but not recently

After the largest comeback in Oklahoma football history, the Sooner’s welcome in TCU. Here’s a look back at their series history.

After the largest comeback in Oklahoma football history, the Sooners’ matchup with TCU is fast approaching.

Oklahoma currently holds a 14-5 record over the Horned Frogs.

TCU won two of the first three matchups with Oklahoma, winning 13-7 in 1945 and 20-7 in 1947, its largest win in the series. The Sooners rattled off three straight wins, two of which were in Fort Worth.

Oklahoma won in 1948 and 1954, and the teams didn’t meet again until 1993, when the Sooners won by their largest deficit in series history at 35-3.

In 2014, TCU earned their last win over Oklahoma 37-33. Since then, the Sooners have won five-straight matchups, their longest streak versus the Horned Frogs. TCU has never won two games in a row in the series.

The last game at Gaylord Stadium will be played at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, as the Sooners look for their sixth-straight win over TCU.
