TCU at Kansas: Three things to know
- The Jayhawks enter this contest trying to climb out of a three-game losing skid. Since downing Oklahoma 63-59 at home Jan. 9, Kansas has had one postponement (Jan. 16) and three road losses. The game before that stretch was a 93-64 Jan. 5 win at TCU. The victory marked the Jayhawks’ seventh straight win over the Horned Frogs and came by the largest margin since Feb. 15, 2014.
- The Frogs are also on a three-game losing skid, but the most recent of those was Jan. 12. COVID-19 protocols — including a positive test for head coach Jamie Dixon — necessitated the postponement of three games since. Included was the originally scheduled Tuesday date for this game against Kansas.
- TCU sophomore G Francisco Farabello is listed as questionable due to a calf injury. Farabello is averaging 5.3 points and 2.3 assists per game. His 44.8% mark from 3-point range is a team-best rate.

TCU at Kansas: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Kansas 76, TCU 65
Money line (ML)
Both these teams are more inconsistent than most, and there is something in leveraging what that means in this pandemic season. TCU’s road/neutral numbers are encouraging, and the price is right for a flyer on the HORNED FROGS +825. With the TCU layoff and other gray-area factors in play, consider a partial-unit play to limit exposure.
Against the spread (ATS)
A little gravity toward performances before its losing streak — and even toward its Jan. 9 outing against Baylor (a much closer game than its 67-49 final score) — would go a long way toward keeping the Frogs within 10 or 11 points Thursday.
TAKE TCU +14.5 (-110).
Over/Under (O/U)
The Over is 6-1 in Kansas’ last seven games, 7-3 in the last 10 games of this series and 6-2 the last eight times TCU has been a road underdog of 10 or more points.
And that’s the lean here: BACK THE OVER 136.5 (-110).
