Taylor Rapp is signing a 1-year deal with the Bills

Taylor Rapp is leaving the Rams and signing a one-year deal with the Bills

Taylor Rapp drew interest from both the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots in free agency, but he’s not signing with either team. Instead, he’s joining a different AFC team: the Buffalo Bills.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bills are signing Rapp to a one-year deal. Rapp spent the first four years of his career with the Rams after being a second-round pick in 2019, making 48 starts in that span.

Last season, he had 92 tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery, his third season with at least 90 tackles and two interceptions. He started 33 games in the last two seasons combined.

This departure was not unexpected for the Rams. After losing Nick Scott, as well, they’re now without their two starting safeties from 2022.

Jordan Fuller, Russ Yeast and Quentin Lake are now the top safeties on the depth chart, combining for two total starts last season; though, Fuller was a starter in 2021 before getting hurt last year.
