Taking a look at the offensive line for the 2024 Kentucky football team

Taking a look at the offensive linemen on the 2024 Kentucky Wildcats football team.

The 2024 Kentucky Wildcats football team will have a very new looking offense. A new offensive coordinator will be working with a new quarterback and new running backs, and trying to build them into a team capable of competing with the top SEC teams.

One of the keys to getting them where they need to be will be the offensive line. Giving protection to Brock Vandagriff and opening holes for whoever starts at running back is a must, especially early in the year.

Luckily, the Wildcats have some solid pieces on the line, including some returning starters from last year’s team. That should help stabilize a young offense.

Eli Cox will certainly line up as a starter once again, as he has for multiple seasons. He can play all along the interior and brings valuable leadership.

Also returning from last season is tackle Marques Cox. He also brings a lot of experience to the team as a starter.

Gerald Mincey is a transfer from Tennessee and will battle for the right tackle position. He can play either tackle spot, however, providing versatility.

Another versatile lineman, Jager Burton has experience at all three interior spots. He’s likely to start again this season.

Tackle Courtland Ford will also compete for the starting right tackle spot. He can also play both tackle spots and be a valuable back-up if he doesn’t win the starting job.

Other linemen competing for starting jobs will be Dylan Ray, Jalen Farmer, Koby Keenum and others.

The Wildcats would like to have the offensive line be a strength in 2024. It will make things easier on the quarterback, the coaches, and the team as a whole.
