Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla recently appeared on a podcast episode of JJ Redick’s “Old Man and the Three.” Throughout the interview, Mazzulla discussed the difficulties of being thrown into the head coaching role so close to the new season and how he’s evolved personally and professionally in the past 12 months.
In the latest “Green With Envy” podcast episode, hosts Adam Taylor and Will Weir are joined by Michael Pina of The Ringer to discuss their thoughts on Mazzulla’s comments and what to expect in the upcoming season. The trio also discuss Jrue Holiday’s potential impact, as Mazzulla’s interview had taken place before the Celtics announced the trade.
Mazzulla will head into the new NBA season with a new coaching staff and multiple new players, including two new All-Stars. As such, fans will hope to see a more robust offensive and defensive system in place as the Celtics push to reach the NBA Finals and win their first championship since 2008.
