YOUNGSTOWN STATE +41.5 (-110) looked rock-solid last weekend against Valparaiso, moving the ball up and down the field. Obviously, that all stops against Ohio State at “The Shoe”, but it should be able to at least hit double digits.

The Buckeyes should find their rhythm on offense against the FCS foe after struggling to move the chains last week in a 23-3 win at Indiana. However, it is likely going to take a 50-burger for the Buckeyes to cover, and there were no signs of that last weekend.

Over/Under

OVER 56.5 (-110) is the lean, but go very, very lightly.

The Penguins were able to roll up 52 points last week, and they should be able to find the end zone at least once. Total bettors need the Buckeyes to do the heavy lifting, and they “should” be able to score plenty of points. But, Ohio State should have done it last week, too, and the Buckeyes struggled against a subpar Indiana side. Be cautious.

It’s a tough assignment for the Cowboys, hitting the road to face a 24-win team due to scheduling conflicts. Oklahoma State just missed being an NCAA Tournament team, and it has faced much larger obstacles than a trip to Youngstown, Ohio.

The Penguins have failed to cover the last 4 games, while the Cowboys have picked up covers in 2 of the previous 3 outings. Neither team has been hot against the number, but someone has to cover, so take the much better team.

UNDER 157.5 (-115) is the total to take.

Despite the high scoring nature of these teams, Youngstown State has gone Under its posted total in its previous 2 home games while Wright State also went Under in its last outing.

Youngstown State is coming off a 4-point home win over Oakland on Friday, failing to cover as a 9.5-point favorite, and that should serve as a wake-up call for this game.

I like the chances of a large spread manifesting Sunday as Detroit Mercy is not nearly as good as Oakland and doesn’t have the defense to hold down Youngstown.

Over/Under

BET OVER 157.5 (-115).

The line opened at 160 and I love the Over now that its been bet down.

Both of these teams have awful defenses. Sunday will seem like an NBA All-Star game where playing defense will be voluntary and not mandated.

I would not be surprised if Youngstown State breaks 100 on its home court, and 80 is certainly in store and this leads me to favor the Over in a big way.

Even if this line goes up before game time I still like the Over in this matchup of terrible defenses.
