Colts’ Xavier Rhodes (hamstring) ruled out vs. Jaguars

The Colts ruled out CB Xavier Rhodes in Week 18 against the Jaguars.

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Xavier Rhodes has been ruled out on Friday ahead of the Week 18 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Head coach Frank Reich said Rhodes is the only player to be ruled out on the final injury report after the veteran cornerback suffered a hamstring injury during the Week 17 loss against the Las Vegas Raiders.

With Rhodes out, the Colts will lean on their young duo of Rock Ya-Sin and Isaiah Rodgers to fill in the gaps across from Kenny Moore.

Colts’ Xavier Rhodes (hamstring) is day-to-day

Colts CB Xavier Rhodes is considered day-to-day with a hamstring injury.

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Xavier Rhodes suffered a hamstring injury against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17 and is considered day-to-day.

Head coach Frank Reich met with the media on Monday and said that Rhodes will be evaluated throughout the week to see if he can play in the regular-season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Just to follow up with Xavier (Rhodes), the hamstring, we’ll continue to evaluate that this week, see how he’s doing and go day-to-day with him,” Reich said.

Rhodes has been battling injuries all season even to the point where he’s played through a calf injury.

If Rhodes can’t play against the Jaguars, the Colts will lean more on Rock Ya-Sin and Isaiah Rodgers while T.J. Carrie could see more snaps as the fourth player in the rotation.

Colts CB Xavier Rhodes suffered a hamstring injury against the Raiders.

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Xavier Rhodes suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Rhodes has been battling a calf injury for the entire season and while he has played through it for the majority of the second half, it’s a hamstring injury that will keep him from returning.

With Rhodes out, the Colts will lean on Kenny Moore, Rock Ya-Sin and Isaiah Rodgers to lead the cornerback room.

Colts have 6 players named Pro Bowl alternates

Along with their league-high seven selections, the Colts have six players listed as Pro Bowl alternates.

No team had more selections to the Pro Bowl than the Indianapolis Colts this season after their seven selections led the NFL. On top of that, they also had a high number of alternates as well.

Though some of these alternates could be viewed as a snub, the others are rightfully left off of the starting Pro Bowl rosters. Even so, they still get some recognition as alternates in case injuries or Super Bowl appearances keep a player from attending.

Here’s a quick look at the six Pro Bowl alternates for the Colts, followed by a reminder of the other seven players already selected:

Colts have no players ruled out vs. Bills in Week 11

The Colts didn’t rule out any players on Friday ahead of the Week 11 matchup with the Bills.

For the first time this season, the Indianapolis Colts have no players ruled out on the final injury report for the Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

The injury report was lengthy this week but it appears the players on it have responded well to their workloads at practice. There are likely to be some players questionable but entering the weekend, there aren’t any ruled out.

The two players to watch closely will be cornerback Xavier Rhodes and linebacker Darius Leonard. Both players are likely questionable for the AFC matchup.

Rhodes has been dealing with a calf injury that kept him out of the Week 10 win over the Jaguars. He was able to practice in a limited fashion this week and has a chance to play on Sunday.

Leonard also was limited this week after re-aggravating an ankle injury he’s been playing through for the majority of the regular season. His toughness has been admirable but an injury is always worth monitoring after its re-aggravated.

The final injury report will include designations for the game so we’ll have a better idea of those when it’s released later on Friday.

Here’s a look at the inactive players for the Colts in Week 10:

Buckner is active after dealing with a back injury during the week while Rhodes is out with the calf. All others are considered healthy scratches, including Marlon Mack for the second week in a row and the third time this season.

1 ruled out, 2 questionable in Colts vs. Jaguars

These are the injury designations for the Week 10 matchup between the Colts and Jaguars.

The Indianapolis Colts (4-5) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) released their final injury reports on Friday ahead of the Week 10 matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The final injury reports included designations for the game and all things considered, both teams are relatively healthy. Only one player was ruled out for the game while two others were listed as questionable.

Here are the players with injury designations in Week 10:

Jaguars final injury report for Week 10: RB James Robinson questionable vs. Colts

As Urban Meyer said, James Robinson surfaced on the final injury report for Week 10 as questionable after he was a limited participant in practice Friday.

As expected, Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson (heel) was listed as questionable on the final injury report for Week 10’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. However, the good news is that no other players joined him in the status column.

Friday morning, Jags coach Urban Meyer provided the media with an update on Robinson, stating that the practice that followed his presser would be important for Robinson in terms of getting a read on his status. On Thursday, Robinson was limited and said he could still feel the injury when taking reps, but added that the team planned to monitor it on a day-to-day basis

If Friday marked a good day of practice for Robinson, it appears he’ll be able to go. However, Meyer said the team is expected to give Carlos Hyde reps alongside Robinson, so it seems like they won’t overwork the second-year rusher even if he can return.

The other big update that came from the injury report was the status of linebacker Myles Jack (knee). He didn’t practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but Meyer confirmed that he could’ve as the staff was choosing to be cautious with him. Jack was upgraded to full participation Friday and will play Sunday, giving the unit a player who is quite familiar with the Colts.

Offensive starters Cam Robinson (back) and Trevor Lawrence (ankle) were also upgraded to full participation after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. Both sustained injuries last Sunday but were expected to play as their situations weren’t severe.

As for the Colts, cornerback Xavier Rhodes was ruled out and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was ruled questionable. Despite his injury, Buckner said he was confident he would play Sunday, but if he is unable to go it would be huge for the Jags.

Colts rule out CB Xavier Rhodes (calf) vs. Jaguars

The Colts ruled out CB Xavier Rhodes in Week 10 against the Jaguars.

The Indianapolis Colts ruled out cornerback Xavier Rhodes on Friday ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10.

Rhodes didn’t practice all week due to a calf injury he suffered in the Week 9 win over the New York Jets. Even the extra time of rest following the Thursday night game wasn’t enough for Rhodes to make a comeback.

Head coach Frank Reich said the team hasn’t considered a stint on the injured reserve list for Rhodes yet.

With Rhodes ruled out, the Colts will lean on Kenny Moore and Rock Ya-Sin to lead the cornerback room while Isaiah Rodgers is expected to see more playing time on defense.
