WWE Raw live results: Walk with Elias one more time

Check out live WWE Raw results from Lincoln, Nebraska, as Becky Lynch and Asuka face off and Elias has a concert. No, really.

Surely, the WWE Universe hasn’t forgotten how to walk with Elias, right? We’ll find out tonight on Raw from

That hasn’t been relevant for a while now, as the guitar-playing Superstar has been absent from WWE programming for some time while his, ahem, younger brother Ezekiel has been making name for himself … and an enemy out of Kevin Owens.

But Zeke has promised that Elias is showing up tonight to deliver a concert as he has so many times before. So either K.O. will be proven right, or the much more likely outcome will be he gets driven madder than ever before. Considering how amazing Owens has already been during this program, that’s a very entertaining thought indeed.

In the women’s division, there are still several spots to fill in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and one will be settled during a qualifying match on Raw between eternal rivals Becky Lynch and Asuka. It’s been several weeks since Big Time Becks announced that she was determined to make a big time comeback, but things haven’t quite gone as she’d like to far.

A victory over Asuka could help make her feel better, plus it would give her a shot at the contract that could finally put a championship back in her sights. Expect her to pull out all the stops to make that happen.

Finally, Riddle got his shot at Roman Reigns last week on SmackDown, and while he was more than game, he couldn’t unseat the Head of the Table. It would be weird if we didn’t hear from the King of Bros tonight to see how he’s feeling physically and mentally.

Can’t watch Raw tonight? No worries, just bookmark this page and we’ll keep you up to speed with live results as they take place from Lincoln, Nebraksa.

Opening Bell: Forbidden Door sneak peeks on Dynamite, Asuka vs. Becky on Raw

Get set for the week in WWE and AEW with Opening Bell: quick previews of Raw, SmackDown, Dynamite and Rampage for the week of June 20.

Welcome to the Opening Bell, where we round up what’s been announced for WWE (Raw and SmackDown) and AEW (Dynamite and Rampage) programming for the week ahead.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, June 20, Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, Nebraska

Money in the Bank qualifiers are always important, but one this Monday will be particularly personal. Asuka and Becky Lynch will clash again, with only the winner going on to vie for the briefcase on July 2. Will this finally be the start of Becky’s big comeback, or will the Empress of Tomorrow prove to be a thorn in her side again?

Also, Elias is back! Still tormenting Kevin Owens, Ezekiel has promised that his older brother would return to Raw in full concert mode. Not sure how this is going down for … reasons, but should be a lot of fun, as this whole angle has been highly entertaining.

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, June 22 – UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, Milwaukee

Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi will go head to head this coming Sunday at Forbidden Door to find out who will be Interim AEW World Champion. But first, they’ll join forces on Wednesday to battle Chris Jericho and Lance Archer, two men who know NJPW and its Ace. It’s “can they coexist?” in the finest pro wrestling tradition.

Another important piece of Forbidden Door will be settled when the final AEW spot in the All-Atlantic Championship Match is decided. Penta Oscuro and Malakai Black have had plenty of clashes to date, but this one has arguably the highest stakes yet.

Also scheduled for Dynamite:

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, June 24 – Moody Center, Austin, Texas

Ricochet was having a solid run as Intercontinental Champion until he ran smack into Gunther, who thrashed him but good while taking his gold. He’ll get a rematch against the Ring General this week, but it remains to be seen if he’ll fare any better.

We’ll also see a Money in the Bank Ladder Match qualifier between Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn, which has some fun subtext since Zayn’s recent failure made Roman Reigns have to defend his championships against Riddle … though since that turned out fine in the end, maybe the Tribal Chief isn’t mad at Sami. Maybe.

Also announced for this week:

  • Shotzi vs. Aliyah in a Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match qualifier

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, June 24 – UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, Milwaukee

Somewhat surprisingly, AEW hasn’t announced anything yet for its final show before Forbidden Door, one that will air on TNT just two nights before the joint card with NJPW in Chicago. That said, because this is being taped on Wednesday after Dynamite, we’ll know by the end of that show most of what to expect on Friday.

There’s still time for more matches to be added to Forbidden Door, for sure, so expect that to be the case right up through Friday night.

Tune in July 25 if you want to see Roman Reigns on Raw this summer

The final Raw before SummerSlam will reportedly be the only time Roman Reigns will appear on the show all summer.

As the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns appears on both Raw and SmackDown. He just won’t be on the former more than once this summer.

Reigns’ reduced schedule has been common knowledge for some time now, even as he holds both of the company’s most prestigious titles. It’s been reported that he would only be making occasional TV appearances leading up to some of WWE’s biggest summer events, and he won’t even be on the Money in the Bank card on July 2.

He is expected to be prominently featured at SummerSlam on July 30, which is no surprise since it’s WWE’s second-biggest show of the year. With that in mind, he’ll be a part of the Raw earlier that week — but it will be the only time fans will see him on Raw all summer.

That word comes from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, who says the timing and venue are why this particular episode (h/t to GiveMeSport for the transcription) has been penciled in for a visit from the Tribal Chief.

The only time Reigns is going to be on Raw is the Raw from Madison Square Garden. That’s his only Raw booking, the only time the champion will be on Raw pretty much the whole summer.

If that turns out to be the case, it leaves Raw without some serious star power for the next few months. The show is without both Randy Orton and Edge at the moment, though the latter’s injury is part of a storyline after he was kicked out of The Judgment Day. Cody Rhodes will be out for a while as well, recuperating from surgery to repair his torn pec.

SmackDown will see Reigns much sooner, as in this Friday, as he defends the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle. Since Riddle has been seeking some retribution on behalf of Orton, the expectation is that he’d lose this bout, which would set Orton up to return the favor and lead up to his own showdown with Reigns at SummerSlam.

But plans are subject to change, and that’s certainly been true in WWE in 2022. For now, anyway, the Raw at MSG is set to be even more highly anticipated than it would normally be, and might be the only time we see Reigns live on USA until the fall.

WWE Raw live results: The Judgment Day makes its next move

Check out WWE Raw live results for the June 13, 2022 episode from Wichita, as The Judgment Day explains its next move.

The Judgment Day has deposed Edge as leader, but what will the group do next? That’s one of the big questions that figures to be answered during the June 13 episode of WWE Raw from Wichita.

Edge was pleased that Finn Balor decided to stop fighting destiny and join his side, but it turned out it wasn’t really his side after all. As soon as Balor declared his allegiance, he joined with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley to throw out the man who started the stable in the first place. Who will The Judgment Day look to dethrone next?

Joining Edge on the shelf is Cody Rhodes, who’s hopefully home resting after surgery to repair the most famous torn pec in pro wrestling history. He believed he was finished with Seth Rollins after defeating him thrice (look it up, kids), but Rollins had other ideas, attacking him one more time before Rhodes’ time away. Now Rollins needs something else to do, and we’ll see exactly what that is.

Opening Bell: Tribal Chief defends his gold, Jericho has his hair at stake

Get set for the week in WWE and AEW with Opening Bell: quick previews of Raw, SmackDown, Dynamite and Rampage for the week of June 13.

Welcome to the Opening Bell, where we round up what’s been announced for WWE (Raw and SmackDown) and AEW (Dynamite and Rampage) programming for the week ahead.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, June 13, INTRUST Bank Arena, Wichita, KS

The Judgment Day received a big shakeup last week, with Finn Balor joining and then immediately assisting with the ouster of Edge from the group. Now Edge is out with a (storyline) injury, so there’s no fear of immediate reprisals. That leaves the stable free to plot a new course, which WWE says it will do Monday night.

Speaking of injuries, Cody Rhodes suffered one of the more notable ones in recent memory, and he’s now out recuperating from successful surgery to repair his torn pec. But while the American Nightmare said he was ready to move on from Seth Rollins, the Visionary had different ideas, attacking Rhodes one last time for now. WWE says Rollins will “answer” for his attack, so look for him to possibly be booked against some tough competition.

AEW Dynamite Road Rager preview – Wednesday, June 15, Chaifetz Arena, St. Louis

Once upon a time it felt like AEW was getting a little carried away with themed episodes of Dynamite, but it’s cut back on them to the point where Road Rager is a bit of a breath of fresh air. The card is suitably loaded, headlined by a three-way Ladder Match for the tag team titles, with Jurassic Express defending against both The Hardys and Young Bucks.

Chris Jericho is also putting something on the line against Ortiz … but it’s his hair, not a championship. The former Inner Circle teammates turned bitter rivals will do battle, and someone will be bald when it’s over.

Also advertised for Wednesday night:

  • An All-Atlantic Championship qualifier sees Miro go head to head with Ethan Page.
  • Wardlow battles 20 of the plaintiffs in the security guard class action lawsuit. No, really.

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, June 17, Target Center, Minneapolis

This is a big one. After jumping through several hoops to get the attention of Roman Reigns, Riddle finally got what he wanted by defeating Sami Zayn last week in a match that stipulated he’d get a Undisputed WWE Universal Championship shot if he won. Can Riddle get some payback for his buddy Randy and win some serious gold? Probably not, but you won’t want to miss it just in case he pulls it off.

Also expected for this week’s show:

  • Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin will meet in a Last Laugh Match, which we assume will end the feud between them, one way or another.
  • After running into travel issues last Friday, Max Dupri will reveal his first recruit for Maximum Male Models.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, June 17, Chaifetz Arena, St. Louis (taped)

Rampage has been live more often than not the past few weeks, but this week’s episode reverts to its more typical pattern of being taped at the Dynamite show for the week, which in this case is in St. Louis.

AEW hasn’t officially announced anything yet for this episode, but we’ll update this post as soon as there’s something set.

WWE Raw live results: The Judgment Day expands, Cody Rhodes says goodbye for now

Check out WWE Raw live results for the June 6, 2022 episode from Green Bay.

The late Notorious B.I.G. told us all “don’t be mad, UPS is hiring,” but if he were around today, he may very well update that line by reminding us that The Judgment Day is recruiting. Ahead of tonight’s episode of Raw from Green Bay, WWE has made it known that Edge’s group, fresh off a victory at Hell in a Cell, expects to add another member to its ranks during the show.

Speaking of success on Sunday night, no one enjoyed more of it despite tremendous adversity than Cody Rhodes, who somehow managed to grit his way through a Hell in a Cell match with a torn right pec to defeat Seth Rollins for a third time. Cody is scheduled to address the fans at the arena and watching at home, likely to admit what we already know: He’s going to be out for a while to heal up.

WWE has promised two more things for Raw. Bianca Belair, who gave Becky Lynch a taste of her own opportunistic medicine to defeat her and Asuka at Hell in a Cell, will learn who her next top contender will be. Finding out could be fun, since it means a four-way match between Liv Morgan, Doudrop, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley, or as we like to call it at Wrestling Junkie HQ, two subplots intertwining.

And last but not least, especially in their minds, The Miz and Maryse will join forces for a special episode of Miz TV. Could the timing of this have anything to do with the new season of their TV show that they need to promote? You know, it just might.

Can’t tune in live on USA to catch the action from Green Bay? No worries, just bookmark this page and check back throughout the evening as we update it with the latest WWE Raw live results as they take place.

WWE Raw live results: Nakamura, Riddle take on The Usos

Check out WWE Raw results for the May 30, 2022 episode from Des Moines, IA.

To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man … to get a chance to beat the man. Ahem. We’re not particularly fond of the “Championship Contender’s Match” that’s become so popular as of late, but we’re willing to give the one that’s been promoted for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw from Des Moines the benefit of the doubt.

At least with Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura, they’re a brand new tag team forced together because both their regular partners are on the shelf, and they need to prove themselves as a credible threat to the undisputed tag team champs, The Usos. We just wish there was another way for them to prove it than by beating the Usos.

Also tonight, Bobby Lashley will sign a contract to face both Omos and MVP at Hell in a Cell, assuming they both sign as well. Bianca Belair will get the measure of one of her two HIAC challengers, Asuka, though Becky Lynch will undoubtedly be an interested observer. And Cody Rhodes should have something to interesting to say after he was attacked mid-match by Seth Rollins last week.

Can’t watch Raw this week? No worries, just bookmark this page and we got you. Get results in bullet point form as they happen tonight from Des Moines, then scroll down for more detailed recaps of every match and the most important in-ring segments.

Opening Bell: WWE, AEW previews for the week of 5/30

Get ready for Raw, SmackDown, Dynamite and Rampage with WWE and AEW previews for episodes airing the week of May 30, 2022.

Welcome to the Opening Bell, where we round up what’s been announced for WWE (Raw and SmackDown) and AEW (Dynamite and Rampage) programming for the week ahead.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, May 30, Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, IA

Cody Rhodes was just trying to have a normal, competitive match with The Miz when it was unceremoniously ended thanks to an ambush by Seth “Freakin'” Rollins. He’s not going to let that go without addressing it, which he’ll do this week on Raw. When? The Cody Clock will probably let us know on Monday night.

There’s also a contract signing set to take place. Bobby Lashley lost his match with MVP a week ago, meaning his former manager got to pick the stipulation for a third bout with Omos at Hell in a Cell. MVP chose a Handicap Match, so all three men will have to sign on the dotted line this week.

Also on tap for Raw:

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, June 1, Kia Forum, Los Angeles

Double or Nothing was a entertaining but lengthy affair, so it’s good that AEW has some time to catch its breath … but not too long, as the company is set for the first live wrestling event at the Kia Forum since 2015. So far, just one match has been confirmed for L.A., but it’s a big one: Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage (who still hasn’t turned heel) will join forces with The Hardys in a 10-man tag team match against the Undisputed Elite (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish and Young Bucks).

It would be a surprise if we didn’t hear from new AEW World Champion CM Punk, who needs his first challenger. And we may or may not hear from MJF because … well, you know.

[lawrence-related id=2802]

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, June 3, The Schottenstein Center, Columbus, OH

WWE hasn’t confirmed any matches yet for SmackDown in Columbus, but the venue has been advertising Drew McIntyre, Ronda Rousey, the New Day and The Usos. All of them make sense to appear.

On top of that, The Schottenstein Center is also saying AJ Styles will face The Miz, though that could be a dark match, for sure.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, June 3, Toyota Arena, Ontario, CA

Last but not least (unless Rampage gets moved up again for the NHL playoffs, in which case SmackDown will air last), Rampage rolls into Ontario (not the Canadian one) to close out the week in televised Big 2 wrestling. Toyota Arena is promoting this as a homecoming for the Young Bucks, so they should be involved in some capacity.

As well, at Double or Nothing, Scorpio Sky promised Dante Martin he could have a shot at the TNT Championship, and given Rampage is on TNT, this feels like the proper place for that bout. Expect it to be officially confirmed during Dynamite.

Now is the perfect time to end the WWE brand split

WWE has treated Raw and SmackDown as separate entities for most of the last 20 years, but should consider ending the brand split right now.

Speculation about whether WWE will end its brand split, with different talent appearing on Raw and SmackDown, is like discussion of the weather. It’s constant, everyone has at least some opinion on it, and there’s always a bit of uncertainty involved.

The current moment in time is no different. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live (h/t to Aidan Gibbons of Cultaholic for the transcription) recently reported that the brand split is “essentially done” and that while he didn’t expect an official announcement to be imminent, “They’re just going to do whatever.”

Raw and SmackDown have been separate brands more often then not for the past 20 years (meaning it’s been on except for a time between 2011 and 2016). The split was initially conceived as a way to produce both variation, a sense of distinct identity for WWE’s two weekly shows, and as a way to manufacture some sense of competition that was lost when WCW went down the drain and was acquired by WWE.

The degree to which WWE has stuck to the idea of its shows as completely separate entities has varied over the years. At its height, the split led to things like brand-specific pay-per-views, which maximized the company’s product while watering the shows down quite a bit — and to be fair, the biggest events still featured performers from both brands.

Most of the time, however, WWE has treated the separation of the red and blue shows like Doctor Who treats the rules of time travel: It stuck to the split most of the time, but ignored it when creatively convenient to do so.

That could certainly be the case again here, but if WWE wants to call a more formal end to the brand split, there couldn’t be a more perfect time than right now.

It starts with the most obvious facts. Both of the most important men’s titles on each show, the WWE Championship (for Raw) and WWE Universal Championship (for SmackDown), are in the hands of the same Superstar, Roman Reigns. The same is true for both sets of men’s tag team titles, recently unified by The Usos, albeit with a huge assist from Reigns.

WWE hasn’t shown any signs of having Reigns defend his championships separately, and it would be silly for the Usos to do it so soon after unifying theirs. That means the Bloodline is inherently going to float between shows for the foreseeable future.

The women’s tag team titles have always been a cross-brand affair, the exception to the rest of the company’s championships. They’re currently vacant thanks to an incident you may have heard about, but WWE is planning a tournament to find new titleholders soon. Once they’re crowned, they’ll likely be regulars (or not, considering how little WWE seems invested in that championship) on Raw and SmackDown.

[lawrence-related id=2135]

Having those champs appear on Mondays and Fridays has ripple effects on the rest of the roster. If Riddle is the next man up to challenge Reigns, as appears to be the case, it doesn’t make sense to restrict him to a single show. The same goes for the Street Profits or whoever ends up as the No. 1 contenders to the Usos.

There are also more subtle signs that the split is dissolving that aren’t related to any titles. The returning Lacey Evans has had her story told on both Raw and SmackDown, which could signal that WWE isn’t sure where she fits best, or that she could appear on both of them. If the latter is the plan for Evans, it could be the same for more Superstars who are returning or repackaged.

The complicating factor is that Fox has reportedly asked for exclusive talent for SmackDown, which is its right to request as a broadcast partner. Still, it’s hard to imagine that WWE can’t make a powerful argument that having the biggest names appear on Friday nights, or even up and comers like Theory, wouldn’t benefit SmackDown — adding more than a lack of exclusivity takes away.

On top of all of these considerations is the fact that because of roster cuts and departures, the WWE’s overall talent cupboard simply isn’t bursting at the seams as it once was. The leadership appears to recognize it with moves like unifying the titles and streamlining the overall number of storylines it has in play.

The most likely outcome is that WWE won’t formally end the brand split and will continue doing what it’s done for most of the last two decades, which is to pay lip service to it while ignoring it as needed. But if there were ever a time to take the next step and officially dispense with it, this is it.

WWE Raw results: Lashley challenges Omos, Cody vs. Miz

Check out WWE Raw results for the May 23, 2022 episode from Evansville, IN, with Cody Rhodes in action against The Miz.

Even though every episode of WWE Raw has the potential to be unpredictable, we’re guessing tonight’s show from Evansville will be … um, somewhat less talked about than last week’s show.

But hey, we’re not here to talk about what won’t happen, but rather what WWE says will take place. Tonight, the previews suggest we’ll see Bobby Lashley challenging Omos to something. What, exactly? Who knows? They’ve already wrestled twice and had an arm wrestling contest. Maybe it’ll be ping pong, though hopefully not for Lashley’s sake because Omos has been practicing.

Cody Rhodes, a.k.a. the man who warrants his own countdown timer, will take on a Superstar who already has tried to corner the market on being must-see TV on Monday nights, The Miz. And Becky Lynch will address her loss to Asuka, the one that meant she isn’t the No. 1 contender for the championship held by Bianca Belair. Thems the breaks.

There will be other stuff too, and maybe not even segments that need to be rewritten spur of the moment. We’ll be updating this post with live WWE Raw results as they take place, so check out our quick bullet points below or keep scrolling or more details on the matches and extended segments.
