Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington Wizards (32-39) square off against the Orlando Magic (29-43) on Tuesday at Amway Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Wizards vs. Magic odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Wizards lost 132-118 to the Sacramento Kings and failed to cover as 4.5-point road underdogs Saturday. Washington is 2 games behind the Chicago Bulls for the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic fell short in Sunday’s 111-105 road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers despite covering as 6.5-point underdogs. Orlando has won only 3 of its last 10 games.

The Wizards and the Magic will meet for the third time this season on Tuesday. Washington won and covered both of the first two meetings while the O/U split 1-1.

Wizards at Magic picks and predictions

Prediction

Wizards 118, Magic 113

Moneyline

I’ll take the WIZARDS (+100) to secure the win on the road in this battle of struggling teams. Washington can still lean on G Bradley Beal and F Kristaps Porzingis on the offensive end even with Kuzma sidelined.

Against the spread

WIZARDS +1.5 (-110) is how I’d bet on the spread in this contest. Washington needs every win it can get if it hopes to be playing in the postseason.

The Magic are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and the Wizards are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings with Orlando.

Over/Under

While these teams don’t play at particularly fast paces, OVER 226.5 (-108) is the pick in this matchup. Both teams are in the bottom half of the league in defensive rating.

Orlando has gone Over in each of its last 4 home games, while the Over is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings between these teams.

Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington Wizards (15-21) take on the Orlando Magic (13-23) Friday at Amway Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Wizards vs.  Magic odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Wizards cruised to a 127-102 victory over the Phoenix Suns Wednesday to cover as 2-point underdogs at home. Washington has strung together 3 straight wins for just the 2nd time this season.

The Magic lost 121-101 to the Detroit Pistons Wednesday as they failed to cover as 1-point road underdogs. Orlando is on a 2-game losing skid and will be shorthanded Friday as a handful of its players were suspended for an incident in Wednesday’s game.

Wizards at Magic picks and predictions

Prediction

Wizards 116, Magic 108

Moneyline

Even though Washington (-190) is expected to win against the shorthanded Magic, AVOID the moneyline. The current odds for the Wizards to win aren’t worth taking straight up, but I’m fine with including them in a parlay.

Against the spread

WIZARDS -4.5 (-112) is the ideal bet in this game considering that the Magic will be without a decent amount of their players due to suspension. Washington has beaten Orlando in 5 straight meetings and has won by 5-plus points in 4 of those.

The Wizards are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Over/Under

OVER 223.5 (-108) feels a bit low for these teams regardless of Beal’s status. Washington still has capable scorers in F Kyle Kuzma and C Kristaps Porzingis while Orlando has F Franz Wagner and F Paolo Banchero.

The Over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between the Wizards and the Magic.

Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Washington Wizards (17-32) travel to meet the Orlando Magic (17-33) at Amway Center in Orlando Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Wizards-Magic odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Wizards play the second of a six-game road odyssey with a stop in O-Town. Washington kicked off the trip with a 103-101 loss against Toronto at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

The good news is that they covered the 5.5-point number as the Under cashed for the fourth straight outing.

The Magic just completed a five-game road trip against the Western Conference, going 2-3 SU/4-1 ATS while the Over connected in each of the past three.

These teams haven’t faced each other since a two-game set around the holidays in Washington.

Orlando swept the set, winning 130-120 on Dec. 26 as a two-point ‘dog, while willing 120-113 as two-point favorites on Dec. 27. The Over cashed in both games.

Wizards at Magic: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Magic 112, Wizards 109

Money line (ML)

The MAGIC (+125) are a value as short ‘dogs at home. Yes, they have a handful of players on the injury report, but Birch and MCW might be able to return.

The Wizards (-150) are just too risky heading into this one, losers of four in a row and seven of the past nine overall.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The MAGIC +3 (-110) are the play for those not quite feeling them straight up, although there isn’t a lot of wiggle room here.

Trust in Orlando, however, as they have covered six of the past seven games overall despite some injury issues.

The Wizards -3 (-110) are just 1-3 ATS in the past four, and they were swept by Orlando in the previous two.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 222.5 (-110) is the lean, but play it lightly. The Under has dominated for Washington lately, going 4-0 in the past four outings, and 6-1 in its past seven.

Yes, the Over is 3-0 in Orlando’s past three overall, and they hit the Over in their two-game sweep in late December at Washington.

However, the Wizards aren’t nearly as prolific on offense as the Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando’s past three opponents. And both teams are banged up, and a shell of the offenses we saw back in December.
