Wisconsin is….favored against Iowa? A surprising line according to BetMGM

The Badgers are surprising favorites against Iowa

Wisconsin football has a surprising line this weekend according to BetMGM. The 2-2 Badgers finish their season at Iowa, against a Hawkeye team that has won five straight and comes in at their best.

The Badgers are -1.5 point favorites against Iowa with a moneyline set at -120. That means that risking $120 on Wisconsin to win would net $100 in profit.

It’s a surprising line for many reasons, starting with a Wisconsin offense that has scored 13 points total over the past two weeks. Add to that an Iowa defense playing its best football of the year, and young Hawkeye QB Spencer Petras coming off of his best game of the year in a 35-21 win over Illinois. The No. 16 Iowa Hawkeyes are two self-inflicted close losses away from being 7-0, and being talked about in a very different light.

This line is as surprising as they come in the Big Ten. Can Wisconsin right the ship and pull out a win? Of course they can, but based on the past two weeks of Big Ten football this number makes little sense.
