Feisty young bobcat has choice ‘words’ for handlers upon release

The growls and actions of the spirited wildcat, Mr. Murder Britches, are amusingly translated in the video text.

An environmental activist on Sunday recalled translating a young bobcat’s actions for an amusing video showing the spirited critter’s release into the wild.

“One of the highlights of my life was naming this chicken-poaching bobcat kitten Mr. Murderbritches and ‘translating’ his growls on video,” Russ McSpadden stated on X. “This cat’s wild spirit then went viral and inspired millions to be feisty as hell.”

The accompanying footage, first published by the Center for Biological Diversity in 2018, contains McFadden’s sometimes salty translations as the kitten, being relocated after dining on ranch chickens, sparred with his well-meaning handlers.

After viewing the footage, many might share the sentiment expressed by the Center for Biological Diversity in the original video description:

“Long live Mr. Murderbritches!”

WATCH: Skyy Moore takes direct-snap at Chiefs’ rainy Monday practice

Andy Reid broke out the wildcat formation during the #Chiefs’ weather-shortened practice session at training camp on Monday.

Head coach Andy Reid didn’t let rain at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Monday practice session spoil his fun. Instead of sticking to the basics on the slick field at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Reid elected to run some plays out of the wildcat formation, which featured receiver Skyy Moore under center.

Kansas City Sports Network got a video of the unconventional look on Monday and posted it to Twitter just before the Chiefs’ workout session ended.

While Reid is well-known as a trickster with his innovative offensive design, it is hard to tell just how often this novel strategy will rear its head during the Chiefs’ 2023 campaign.

For his part, Moore looked like a capable wildcat quarterback in this rep on Monday, quickly getting to the edge against Kansas City’s defense. However, due to the rain on the field, the Chiefs defenders were playing at half-speed during the team’s offensive snaps as they sought to limit their chances of injury during the weather-shortened workout to start their week.

NFL teams reportedly believe the Jaguars signed Tim Tebow to play wildcat QB in a ‘Taysom Hill role’

Tim Tebow will almost certainly be a wildcat quarterback

Tim Tebow signed on with the Jaguars under Urban Meyer to play tight end after a 9-year hiatus from the NFL. He’s already made some progress so far at the position.

But there are reportedly some NFL teams that believe there could be a bit more to it than that.

According to a report from ESPN’s Dianna Russini, NFL teams think the Jaguars brought in Tebow for a couple of reasons. First, they think they wanted him as a locker room presence and a personality that will up the competitiveness of the team.

But second, and most importantly, they believe he’ll also end up playing some quarterback in wildcat sets for the Jaguars in the same way Taysom Hill has played the position for the Saints.

There are those in the league who think Urban Meyer is bringing Tebow in to play quarterback at that Taysom Hill role. Using him in that wildcat as we’ve seen Urban Meyer use in the past. Take a look at all of his different offenses. It actually makes a lot of sense.”

This isn’t groundbreaking, honestly. Everyone should expect Urban Meyer to do this because he absolutely will.

Tebow wasn’t a very good quarterback, but he’s got some experience there and could be an occasional dual-threat for the Jaguars. They’d be doing themselves a disservice not to take advantage of that.

Now, is this something they should lean on often? Absolutely not. But the occasional Tebow wildcat dive or jump pass might do them some good.
