The Wisconsin football program released its 2023 team picture yesterday afternoon. It is one of the final moments on the timeline before real football begins.

That beginning comes in just two days. The Badgers are set to open their 2023 season against the MAC’s Buffalo Bulls. Wisconsin is favored heavily, pointing toward the contest being an ideal audition for Luke Fickell and his new staff.

It seems as though Wisconsin will enter the Week 1 contest without veteran defensive lineman Isaiah Mullens. While the run defense is a real question with a now-thin defensive line, the Badgers are healthy everywhere else and seem set to win handily on Saturday.

Before they take the field in two days, here are the 2023 Wisconsin Badgers…with a photoshopped Isaiah Mullens (bottom left):

Week 1 Preview: Big 12 Games to Watch

Which Big 12 matchups in Week 1 should you tune in for?

It is finally time to kick off the college football season in the Big 12. This will be the final year that includes the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns. However, they will add Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah in 2024.

Before we get to next season, our focus will remain on the 2023 season for the Big 12. In Week 1, there are plenty of matchups to keep an eye on. The Longhorns will host the Rice Owls, while the Sooners will take on Arkansas State.

Neither of those matchups was able to crack our list of the top games, but we begin our list of top matchups with West Virginia.

Wisconsin football releases its official Week 1 depth chart

The Wisconsin football program released their official Week 1 depth chart in advance of Saturday’s matchup against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

There aren’t any huge surprises, as both the offense and defense reflect our recent depth chart projections (offense, defense) and what we’ve heard during training camp.

Some things to note, though, is Chez Mellusi slated as RB1, Joe Tippmann confirmed as the team’s starting center and Collin Larsh slated as the field goal kicker.

Additionally, the depth chart features a wealth of depth in the secondary and at offensive line, two positions that figure to be strong on this year’s team.
